I was born in 22nd of January 1956 in Kedah,the Northern State of Malaysia. Being an orphan,I was raised by my grandmother and grandfather since I was 5 years old, had my primary education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Enam,Jalan Sanglang,Kodiang,Kedah to Standard 6. Finishing primary school,I went for Remove Class at Sekolah Menengah Pulau Nyiur for a yeat before moving to Penang to enrol in St.Xavier’s Institution until I finished Form Six with Higher School of Education(HSC) qualification. After working for some time at several factories,I joined FELDA(Federal Land Development Authority) as an officer at Pusat Latihan Pegawai@Felda Soeharto and went to work at Felda Palong 8,Gemas,Negeri Sembilan in 1978.After three years,I resigned in 1981 to join Maktab Perguruan Gaya,Kota,Kinabalu,Sabah as a trainee-teacher and started working as a full-time professional teacher in 1983.My first posting was SMK Pamol,Sandakan,right in the interior and situated by Sungai Labuk.I served there for three years before getting transfered to SMJK Sung Siew right smack in the City of Sandakan because I was married that year(1985) to Rashidah binti Zainal. My first child, a daughter whom I named Nurashiqin was was born in Duchess of Kent Hospital,Sandakan.
In 1989,I applied for and was approved for transfer back to Penang.Except for 3 years in Kuala Lumpur(2007-2009) where I taught at SK Petaling 1 and SK Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah,most of my working centered in Penang.And now,I am in Universiti Sains Malaysia.pursuing my 4-year TESOL Course.
